Canyoning the Pisac

Description
The most exciting experience available near
Cusco, the sport of canyoning introduces you to
the beautiful countryside within the
archaeological complex of Pisac while delivering
an unsurpassable adrenaline rush. Pisac is
located NE of Cusco in the Sacred Valley. At
Pisac a canyon cuts into the Vilcanota River
valley from the NE. The gorge is 100 meters deep.
This is wet, upside-down climbing on some
beautifully sculpted river rock.
Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco - Pisac - Cusco
At 9:00 A.M we pick up the passengers from
their hotels and go to Corao, 40 minutes NE of
Cusco, where we prepare for you canyoning.
Everyone tests his or her harness, neoprene
wetsuit, ropes, and carabiners, while the guide
explains our intended trip down. Then we begin
the descents. The rappels are as long as 30, 40,
and 50 meters at a time. We reach the bottom
after about 5 hours and exit by way of the river
itself hence the wetsuits. We lunch and go back
to Cusco.
